The October meeting was brought forward by 1 week so that we could have another farewell drink with Tommy. The meeting noted that the blighter failed to turn up (no discipline in the colonies these days).
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
These were presented at the meeting and it was agreed that they were a true record of the previous meeting.
SUBS
Richard has finally paid his subs but not the interest.
CANOEING WEEKEND
All agreed an excellent weekend. Adrian only just caught his train.
Concern was raised about the Chairman’s health as he again failed to complete an activity. Will he last the full term? Should we elect a deputy just in case? Answers on a postcard to the Secretary.
OLD TART IN ROSS ON WYE
Those members that are interested think the August bank holiday date for a reunion is not suitable.
CLOTHING
As a poor excuse for not ordering the clothing from the 2001 collection Alan stated that he awaited details of previous suppliers. Paddy to forward.
SKIING
Neil reported that his contact for cheap accommodation would not accept an all-male party. Volunteers for a sex change required.
Alternative venue to be investigated by Neil and Paddy.
NYE PARTY
Due to the early meeting, feedback for tickets was not available.
Alan stated that Ed his neighbour and the man at 86 were possibles.
Paddy to print cheap tickets for a BEER AND WINE party, price £20.
All to feedback at next meeting on numbers.
SURFING 9th –11th NOVEMBER
All booked with advanced tuition arranged care of Brian.
All attending except Neil!
Brian has volunteered for catering supplies so plenty of "bunters" for breakfast.
Paddy to retrieve from the National Film library some early AGM AV’s.
2002 AGM
A Think Tank in Wales in January was suggested. To be reviewed at the next meeting.
